The Local Advisory Board
St Kew ACE Academy is part of ACE Multi-Academy Trust.
The Local Advisory Board meets once a half-term to contribute to the effective governance of the academy and report into the wider governance structure of ACE Multi-Academy Trust.
Governors are volunteers, and are committed to monitoring the academies' performance and challenging the leadership team, in order to ensure that the academy is successful in achieving it's vision of 'Discover, Learn, Develop' for all pupils.

How to become a Governor
Parent Governors are elected as each Parent Governors Term of Office finishes. These are staggered so that elections are held in most years. They have a four year term of office.
Community Governors are people with particular expertise and skills (for example in finance, running a business, higher education) who are co-opted onto the Local Area Board with the approval of the Kernow Learning Trustees. They have a four year term of office.
Staff Governors are members of staff elected by all staff working in the Academy. They have a four year term of office.
The Headteacher is also a Governor and remains a Governor unless he/she resigns or retires from the post.
The CEO for Kernow Learning is also a Governor and remains a Governor unless he/she resigns or retires from the post.
